r - Comparing Species diversity of 32 plots between years - Cross Validated

i need know type of test use compare species diversity between 2 years.

i have been analyzing species survey data set collected in 2012 , 2014. data include stem count (abundance), type of invasive management treatment applied, , soil type. have wrote script in r run anovas compare means of 1) treatment types , 2) soil types both of individual years. these tests have been straightforward because each of 32 plots has been assigned treatment type , soil type. in current question, however, have plot data each year, struggling how set shannon species diversity measurement (using vegan plug-in in r), , whether or not anova right type of test.

has had experience running test this? best way set statistical analyses in general in r?

i'm assuming you're looking repeated-measures partial regression using poisson distribution positive count data.
