as new web programmer finding lot of answers questions on here suggest alternate methods work earlier versions of internet explorer. but, of course, many of older posts (2009, 2011).
i have seen answer question (from 2009) says should base on specific website's users using.
i know should prepare website vulnerabilities can come access through older browser (eg. still validating email address in "email" input).
i want know, in 2015, new website has no user data, earliest version of ie should concerned with?
i'm worried question may general or "opiniony" forum. interested in concrete reasoning answers, not yes or no.
my further reading indicates general interest public website, no longer necessary take ie 6 , 7 consideration - , possibly ie 8 depending on how feel.
however specific targeted interest websites (eg. business site accessed office computers), there may high user base using older ie browsers.
of course, still want consider people accessing website browser ever available when evaluating security concerns.
