hibernate - How to build a standardized RESTful Java API -

i know how build restful api - being honest last api not standardized or anything.

so while start new project want learn how build standardized java restful api. (java / mysql / jax-rs / json/xml)

not sure if want use hibernate since level of abstraction seems "big" me.

i know frameworks use. tutorials (most of tutorials found old)
