mysql - SQlite multiple table references -

i'm not 100% sure picked correct title questions.. i've not done work sqlite or databases in general.

i'd have tried google solution if knew needed search!

so here's example of want achieve.

i have cars table , workers table, cars table made of carid, carname , want add workers field.. in field want able list number of workers worked on car.

the workers table follows - workerid, workername, datestarted, salary.

the idea list car i.e carid: 1, carname: ford ka, workers[joe, bob, jim] , able access individual properties?

best / nicest way solve (and not have redundant data) make third table id's of car , worker table eg normalizationtable(carid, workerid, datestarted, salary) when worker has worked on car add record. key table carid, workerid.
