all of sudden lost connectivity on usb port. started last week when front usb use charge phone stopped , kind of ignored. , 3 days ago mouse n keyboard stopped. software person less knowledge in area. operation team tried hard fix not. , asking me use complete new system , reinstall everything.dont want give easily. in past stackoverflow genius helped me fix hardware issues. can work n rdp box using laptop . , want give last try . please suggest . have uninstalled n reinstalled n update drivers not detecting .

sounds usb physical hardware may have failed. 1 way test reboot hardware diagnostics see reported failure.
alternatively if familiar ubuntu, create , boot live ubuntu dvd/usb key.
