i got app rejected because had registration form required information app never used. simplest solution be remove registration , let user login inside app (it can used without login less functionalities). thinking remove registration button , add uilabel tell users if want register can visit site (i won't provide link registration).
does know if app going rejected again telling user register on site?
this reason apple review team gave me:
17.2 details
we noticed app requires users register personal information. apps cannot require users enter personal information not relevant app features.
we've attached screenshot(s) reference.
the screenshot of registration form required informations weren't used inside app.
the message in app store review guidlines quite clear:
apps require users share personal information, such email address , date of birth, in order function rejected
which, of course not stop asking while letting user register, - must have reason it, like:
apps may ask date of birth (or use other age-gating mechanisms) purpose of complying applicable children's privacy statutes, must include useful functionality or entertainment value regardless of user's age
or
apps include account registration or access user’s existing account must include privacy policy or rejected
so guess think registration fishy. suggest making sure reasons collecting personal information visible apple reviewers. thought reasons collecting lot of info user unnecessary app does.
my recommendation - take out don't need , justify why need you're asking users , let apple know in notes reviewer.
