validation issues in sharepoint lists -

i fresher in sharepoint.i have set tabs using javascript , each tab view form of list. keeping save button each tabs.

the problems :

1. the entries stored when tabs given inputs..i.e., lists entered.
2. totally 5 tabs there. out of them, the tab fields entered,alone gets saved.rest of tab contents not saved.

3.in addition,can have common save button @ end of tabs.

i not sure exatly trying achieve here, datas not getting saved because of these

1. on changing tabs, datas may cleared
2. fields set mandatory on list

please let me know
