i have hp rgs receiver v7.1 installed on desktop initiates remote session rhel based workstation running hp rgs sender deployed in lan. when launching hp rgs receiver brings window asking host name or ip address of pc connect (in case rhel box). when provided hostname, next question asked username , password. when these details provided, connection established , works expected. trying autolaunch hp rgs receiver can bypass entering hostname or ipaddress, username , password during each launch.
when reading usermanual, there way of doing using hp rgs commandline autolaunch properties. property rgreceiver.session..isconnectonstartup should allow me setup autolaunch while provide hostname, username , password in following properties:
rgreceiver.session.n.hostname rgreceiver.session.n.username rgreceiver.session.n.password rgreceiver.session.n.passwordformat so assumed when pass these command line options while launching hprgs executable rgreceiver.exe should read values command line , directly establish connection without me having enter these details. not seem work assume in n specify session number = 1 (because working single session)
the following command not seem have impact:
rgreceiver.exe -rgreceiver.session.1.isconnectonstartup=1 -rgreceiver.session.1.hostname="myhostname" -rgreceiver.session.1.hostname="myusername" -rgreceiver.session1.password="mypassword" -rgreceiver.session.1.passwordformat=clear the hprgs software behaves same or without command line , sending in commandline not seem have impact on way launches neither gives error. have tried above command line through multiple ways (for e.g. using delimeters , without delimiters, using different values session number , on) seems rgreceiver not recognize commands given in first place. have run out of options. appreciated.
you might try using session number "0" instead of "1"? have used rgs auto-launch files described in user guide connect test systems, used session "0".
