i've downloaded zip here on raspberry pi , want run update locally ("sudo repo_uri=https://..." doesn't work because of apparently common issues, , connectivity).
question: there general way of installing github-based packages local zip copy instead of github.com? follow-up: there general way wherein raspberry pi updates can downloaded zip files site , pointed locally, when running "sudo rpi-update"
a bit zip file: these display drivers wave share spotpear display they're part of standard raspberry pi update.
things have tried: following instructions here looked readme, asks use "sudo repo_uri=https://.." command. tried replacing value after repo_uri local path, didn't work.
sounds need download contents (use github's 'download zip' button) , can unzip file , follow whatever instructions necessary make happen.
