css - Full width banner in Gantry5 joomla framework -

i trying create full width banner on joomla site sitting on gantry5 framework. tried css work no luck. here url http://tinyurl.com/ptponmd

i haven't worked joomla, saying generic cms.

one solution, add custom region in theme template , place slideshow there or print slide directly in template.

here, contents wrapped 70% width using class"g-container" if inspect site, see section id="g-navigation" , below div class="g-container". if can create new region , print slide show inside section id="g-container" above div class="g-container". full 100% width.
