networking - Is it possible to have dual internet connection: Local plus internet? -

so have local network @ work connects internet , can accessed remotely home. every , internet connection drops though local network still functional. prevents users accessing network remotely.

we need have backup computer can remotely accessed through different internet connection (maybe mobile stick or something). wondering if possible have such system setup computer connected local network , @ same time use different adapter connect internet. end result have remote user access network resources.

any appreciated? thinking computer treat 2 connections separate hope wrong.
