osx - JS Task Runners without Extension (Mac User) -

i've small silly question, if please clarify me. came upon extension helps "task runner grunt , gulp directly within visual studio 2013."

it seems available windows (mac user), question is; can run grunt/gulp through terminal instead of using extension? work without conflicting?

sure - grunt , gulp nothing more command line utilities - work in visual studio , instead of using web essentials (which still buggy me) run gulp in cmd/terminal (linux @ home, windows @ work).
